MLA Overview

MLA, which stands for Modern Language Association, is commonly used for the humanities disciplines. This includes literature, art, and languages. It is one of the most popular citation styles, along side APA (social sciences) and Chicago (history, some sciences). MLA is notable for its Works Cited page (as opposed to References or Bibliography) and its parenthetical in text citations.
