Barnes & Noble College offers the online Adoption and Insights Portal (AIP) for textbook and course materials adoption. 

AIP provides faculty with enhanced features that complement SPSCC's commitment to affordability and transparency, including the ability to: 

• Browse over 10 million textbooks, ebooks and courseware from all major publishers,

• Search for free Open Education Resources (OER) to enhance or replace traditional course materials,

• Easily readopt course materials with One Click Re-Adopt,

• View a personalized Course List to easily search, research and submit your adoptions, and

• Receive affordability recommendations as a complement or substitute to traditional course materials.

Visit the Adoption and Insight Portal (AIP) by clicking the link or BNC logo. 

One Click Re-adopt

1. Once you log in to AIP through Canvas, you will see Course List in the left menu.
2. Click on Course List and select the term for which you would like to submit textbook adoptions. 
3. Under each course title, three items will appear. To quickly readopt past materials for a future course, click I'd like to re-adopt from a past adoption.

Submit your OER adoption

Follow the steps below to designate OER for your course.

1. Select "I'm not using any materials for this class" if you plan to use an OER.
2. Move the slider to "YES" if you plan to use OER.
3. Click the Submit Adoptions button to save your changes.

Search in AIP

1. Search course materials by ISBN, Keyword, or Author. 
2. To add materials to your course, select the USE THIS BOOK button. 
3. Add notes for students in the NOTE FOR BOOKSTORE text box. 
4. Select a condition.
5. This book is: Required. Please only list REQUIRED textbooks in AIP. 
6. Select the section you want to apply the book to.
7. Select the ADD TO COURSES button.
