Study abroad

SPSCC offers study abroad programs in Costa Rica and Queretaro, Mexico. Visit the study abroad page for more information. There are also scholarships you can apply for to study abroad.

Resources and call numbers


Resources in the library to enhance your language skills.

  • Pronunciator -- This is an interactive foreign language program available through the public library. You will need a public library card to use it.
     
  • Pimsleur CDs -- These audio CDs teach conversational Spanish. Call number MEDIA PC 4112.5 .S62.

  • Cookbooks -- Latin American and Spanish cookbooks are in the TX 716 call number section.
     
  • Beginner Spanish reading books -- There are a few children's books written in Spanish, as well as the Pobre Ana series. Call number range: PC 4100. Public library has a ton of Spanish children's books.
     
  • Dictionaires: These are in the same section as the Spanish reading books.
     
  • Magazines -- We have Que Tal and People Magazine in Spanish across from the library instruction room.
